Happy Halloween!!!

Carving Pumpkins

We had so much fun carving pumpkins tonight! Here are some snapshots...

I was shocked at Hadley's pumpkin. She literally drew this face onto the pumpkin with a marker and then we helped her carve it out. I thought she did a great job of drawing the face!




This was my (Jill's) pumpkin. I was quite proud of myself! After the kids went to bed, Mike and I carved pumpkins and had an adult drink, it was so much fun!

Dancing queen

5 months...

Our sweet angel is 5 months old tomorrow! We cannot believe how big she is getting! Things about sweet Harper at this age...
-LOVES to talk
-eating cereal
-if you lay her on her back she stays that way for approximately 10 seconds before she flips herself onto her tummy, she isn't a big fan of laying down anymore
-bumbo? no thank you, she'll arch her back and get herself out of it!!!
-she loves to play in her exersaucer
-she chews on EVERYTHING, all of the time
-she is the happiest, most chill girl still, we cannot believe how happy she is, and others regularly comment on it also
-the minute she makes eye contact with someone who smiles at her, she returns the favor with the biggest smile that takes up her whole face!
-she loves to sleep at night still, always has, we are so lucky. She sleeps from about 7 until 7 or 8 the next morning!
-loves to be in the baby bjorn checking out the world
-loves to stand up with help

Halloween Parties

We had two Halloween dress up birthday parties to attend yesterday. We all got into the dress up action and had a great time!

FOOD!!!

It became abundantly clear that Harper was ready for some food when she literally started to try to grab for our food when she was eating and would make chewing movements when we were eating! We started her on rice cereal and she is enjoying learning how to eat "real" food.

Ponytail

Harper is still sporting her crazy hair! Finally I put it in a ponytail!!!

A couple weekends ago we headed up to Appleton to see Mimi and Papa. Here is the one picture I took! :)

Pumpkin Patch

We made an impromptu stop at the pumpkin patch the other day. Notice in the pics that Harper is wearing Hadely's coat since we didn't have a coat for her since we weren't planning on being outside! Anyway it was a BEAUTIFUL night and we were the only ones in the patch, it was a special night, we had a great time.

Field trip to the apple orchard

Mom was lucky enough to chaperone Hadley's first field trip today to the apple orchard. Hadley was so excited to ride on a bus for the very first time and had a great time picking apples. It was much fun!!!

Daddy/Daughter day

Every tuesday is daddy/daughter day at our house and no one likes those days more than daddy. He loves to do activities with the girls. Now that Harper is around, she is getting to know how much daddy likes to go for hikes. I thought these pics were adorable of Mike doing photography of himself with his girls.

For the last few years, each year, Aunt Catherine sends Hadley a columbia jacket to keep her warm in the months leading up to winter. This year Harper was in on the action and I can't stand how cute she looks in her mini columbia coat!!!
