One week old

Harper is one week old. A week has passed in the blink of an eye. We cannot believe how fast it went! Some of the things that have occurred in our first week as a foursome...

1. 4 trips to the doctor to check bilirubin levels on little H, not exactly fun, but necessary.
2. A totally chill baby. While we fully recognize this may change, little H has been quite a different experience from her sister. She pretty much sleeps all of the time, unless she needs to eat. She is totally chill, all of the time.
3. Mom has had a wonderful nursing experience. Also something different from child number one in which it was a huge struggle.
4. A big sister that LOVES her little sister. She just wants to hug her, hold her and kiss her. That being said, there are times here and there in which she wishes she could have all of her parents attention. That is to be expected however.
5. Lots and lots of quality family time which we will cherish always.
6. Mom struggling with a pinched nerve in her back, frustrating, but oh well!

All in all this has been a fantastic first week for our family. We look forward to all the weeks to come!!!

We meet baby Ellie!

Today we had the best surprise! We got to meet baby Ellie! Melanie stopped by briefly with baby Ellie and both Hadley and I were thrilled to meet her! Mommy in particular has been dying to meet Melanie's little girl. It was quite cute to see how enamored Hadley was with her, she is going to be a great big sister!

We enjoyed the very warm weather yesterday and played outside most of the day!

I absolutely love this picture of Hadley and daddy. Mike had just gotten home from working all day and had a hat on so he doesn't like his "hat hair" in the picture, but I just love it anyway!
